Hungarian Noodles Recipe
 
 

Hungarian Noodles - serves 2

1/3 cup low fat cottage cheese (2% milk fat)
1/4 cup evaporated skimmed milk
2 tablespoons sour cream
1 teaspoon paprika
Dash of white pepper
2 teaspoons margarine
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 garlic clove, minced
1 tablespoon each Worcestershire sauce and all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups cooked medium noodles(hot)

In a blender combine first 5 ingredients and process until smooth, scraping down sides of container as necessary; set aside.
In 1-quart nonstick sacepan melt margarine, add onion and garlic and saute over medium-high heat until onion is softened. Approximately 1 to 2 minutes.
Stir in Worcestershire sauce.
Sprinkle flour over onion mixture and stir quickly to combine, then stir in the cottage cheese mixture.
Cook stirring frequently, until mixture thickens, 4 to 5 minutes. Add noodles and stir to combine.
